Dr. Peter Lieh-Chuan Chi, 46, of Livermore was arraigned in San Joaquin County Superior Court in Stockton on 64 felony counts. He is free on bail.

Chi was charged Monday with numerous counts of sexual battery by fraud and sexual penetration of an unconscious person with a foreign object. He was also charged with committing a lewd and lascivious act with a 16-year-old girl.

His alleged victims ranged in age from the teenage girl to a woman who was 57 when she was assaulted in 2004, according to the criminal complaint.

A number of victims were sexually assaulted while they were unconscious during post-operative examinations, the complaint said.

A judge ordered Chi to surrender his medical license in February and to stay away from his practice on North Tracy Boulevard in Tracy.
