Larger Waist Sizes Linked To Heart Problems

When it comes to extra weight and health problems, even a little can mean a
lot. It all depends where you carry your extra pounds.
Boston researchers found those who have larger waist sizes are associated with heart failure, affecting both middle-aged and older people, even if the person is not considered obese.
Scientists looked at thousands of Swedish men and women, recording their
measurements, along with their heart health history. They found that most who
had heart problems were obese, but those who carried most of their weight in
their mid-section, even if they weren't heavy, were more likely to suffer
heart failure and at an earlier age.
