Longtime Tarrant County District Attorney Tim Curry died Friday from lung cancer, according to published reports.
“Texas is a law and order state, and Tim Curry represented that notion as much as anyone I know,” Gov. Rick Perry said. “He dedicated his adult life to the pursuit of justice and made Tarrant County a safer place to live, work and raise a family.”
Curry served as Tarrant County DA for more than 36 years, according to the Tarrant County Web site. Perry will appoint someone to fill the remainder of his term.
